I am so completely frustrated.  1) I can't get pics working on my blog, so am moving from "yes I am a computer literate person"  to "I am a complete computer idiot" - I thought I was very good with the whole computer thing, I've done programming, I worked for a software company for a long time (before the dot com crash) - but now it appears I was kidding myself.

2) I started a pattern in some yarn I've had for a while - it's mystery yarn, fairly thin probably between dk and fingering in weight.  It's got a strand of mohair in it so it's fuzzy, and, unfortunately, I'm not liking the pattern I started at all.  So, now I don't know what I'll do with it (maybe just shove it back under the bed for another couple of years)  This is why I don't have "stash" per se - cause I have to know what I'm making with something otherwise, I drive myself crazy trying to find the perfect project.  Maybe a fuzzy shawl?? I don't know.

okay, I've been knitting (and other stuff) a bit, and mostly just having a fine time messing around trying to get my pics to work. So, here's the next test...

The big question is - does it work?? or not?? Anyway, as you can see (or not) from the photo this is my latest brainless project. Being cold (and seeing my mom's cool blankets) I decided to make myself one. Recipe: Get 4 yards of fleece, cut in 1/2, cut fringe, knot together and you're done. I'm about 1/2 done with this one - now, if I could just rescue it from my son long enough to get the knotting finished I'd be happy.

okay, I'm back and have found out that my pictures aren't showing up, which is a real bummer. I'm working on that, in the meantime... try this link. I've tested it and it works, at least so far. Click on knitting to see my exciting knitting photos.

My mom and dad really liked the slippers, especially my dad, who is always easy to tell if he likes your gift or not.  Either he declares it's the best thing he's ever seen, or he won't even put it away, and you find the gift later, discarded and lonely.  The slippers were a hit.  The only sad thing was that I had felted them the night before, so he couldn't wear them around cause they were still wet.
